Animal and Pet pictures in Pastel

Not so long ago I had not attempted to draw animals. My first attempt was from a request by a dog lover who wanted her pet painted.
Since then I have really enjoyed the challenge. I have developed a Soft Color Pastel technique.

My work has included Cats Dogs Rabbits and a Tiger.

Watercolor Flowers

This small watercolor captures the subtle shades in a small group of flowers.

Some picture behind glass show the flash reflection, sorry.

Flowers

I do like Watercolor as a medium for painting flowers, delicate results can be obtained, lifelike or just a little abstract.

London Town House

Arthur is a very lucky cat. Orphaned when a tiny kitten in Greece he was starving and alone. Befriended by a British girl working there for a short time he was brought back to health.

He came to England when she returned home. I did a portrait of him for his new owner.

This is his London home very near Sadlers Wells Ballet Company.

France Loire Region

I like to travel to France for the scenery, perched villages, chateux and churches are so draw-able. This village situated by the river is typical of the Loire.

Eddie is a Radio Ham and likes to Sea Fish, so whilst I draw and paint he is happy doing his thing. He has a website at http://www.g3zjo.talktalk.net he also does a lot of computing so I get plenty of help with my blog.

Landscape in Watercolor

Last month we spent a week in the Norfolk Broads in our campingcar. There had been so much rain that some of the camping fields were too wet for parking. So we stayed at a working boatyard for a couple of nights. This provided some different inspiration for a watercolour right on our doorstep.

Madonna Portrait

I have found a good photograph of the Sugar Babes which I am drawing in Soft Pastel on Ingres paper size 16"X12" .

This is an addition to my Pop, Celebrity, Film Star collection.
For now here is Madonna just completed, ready for framing.
